Motivation:
there were no positives really. Manuscript was sent to two reviewers, the journal rejected it after the first review came in, so they did not even give it a fair chance of review. Not to mention that the first review could have been from a journal editor, so there is no way of telling. it was frustrating indeed. would not submit any work there in the future.
