The manuscript languished with the journal for 2 weeks, oscillating from "submitted" to "with Editor" to "submitted" to "with Editor". Finally, an email arrived with a desk rejection, offering ZERO insight into the reason for the rejection. This experience does not provide any confidence that the work was given reasonable consideration or that the authors' efforts in executing and interpreting some complex data were actually read or considered. Very poor experience with professional editors in this journal.
