My comments on a paper published in QJEP, to which I previously had been a reviewer for other journals, were summarily rejected by the editor-in-chief. Although she claimed to have carefully read the comment, she showed no knowledge of its content. Other considerations, which were not explained to me, must have played a role.

Motivation:
The review process was very fast. The journal team always kept us informed about the stages the paper was going through, the editors were very prompt in replying to emails. I highly recommend this journal.

Motivation:
The process was a bit slow, but the comments raised by the reviewers and editor were highly useful. In the first submission, it seems they were not understanding the aim of the paper correctly. Once we had the opportunity to resubmit after rewriting, they were very helpful and constructive, pointing out problems that the authors were unaware of, and suggesting improvements. I think the manuscript improved a lot thanks to this feedback. The reviewers were anonymous but clearly experts in the field.
