Motivation:
The manuscript was reviewed professionally and I received extenstive comments to improve the manuscript. The Editor cited the reviewer recommendation as the reason for rejecting this manuscript. However, the review apparently was done on 1-10-2026. I received it on 2-15-2026. I asked the editor to explain why it took so long to make a decision, to no avail. Furthermore, given the extensive suggestions for the improvment by the reviewer, I found it odd that they had recommended rejection. Given these cirucustances, I felt that I needed a convincing rationale from the editor for the long delay in sending the rejection email to keep the process transparent.
